Happy New Year!

Hello boys, Happy New Year to you and your families! I hope that all of you had a fun-filled and enjoyable holiday and are now ready for a brand new year in Primary 3! I will not be teaching any of you as I will be the form teacher of Primary 2 SD this year. However, I do hope all of you will continue to keep in mind what I always said about thinking before you act, and of course what Mdm Leppard always said about respect and choice. I have confidence in everyone of you to be more sensible and responsible now that you are in Primary 3! =)

I will see you boys in school tomorrow, and meanwhile here are the photos from our class party on the last day of school last year!

Look at all the food!!

Excited boys eager to start the party!

I will really miss teaching all of you, which is why I am glad I started our blog so that I can still drop by to see all the activities we did together whenever I think of you! If you miss any of your friends, you can always drop by to relive the good old memories too! =) Do take good care of yourselves in the coming new year, and I will see you boys around in school!

xoxo,
Ms Choo

Fun with shapes!

Hello boys! Time really flies, and we are already into week 3 of term 4! This week, we learned more about basic shapes and composite figures during our Maths lessons, and I am proud to showcase some of your pieces of work here:

Zach, Ashiqur, Bernard and Seans' composite figures:

Navin, Tristan, Jonas and Ivans' composite figures:

Atsil, Adriel, Laurent and Ethan Chuas' shape puzzle:

Jesher, Tobias, Azeem and Gregorys' shape puzzle:

Last but not least, Marcus and Malcolm were the only pair to copy all twelve figures from the coursebook accurately onto the square grid and dot grid papers! Well done boys!

My Dream House!

Hello boys! Since we are almost finishing up on our English unit on types of housing, the group work for the week was about 'My dream house'. Groups were asked to pretend to be architects and to draw out your very own dream house. You were also instructed to list out at least five special features that made it as special and attractive as possible such that other people like me or your fellow classmates would want to buy it. Sad to say, two groups did not write down the special features of your dream house despite my repeated reminders to do so. Thus, these two groupworks will not be uploaded onto this blog. I do hope that all of you will make a greater effort to listen carefully to my instructions from now on! =) Try to spot your work below! Winners will be announced on Monday!

To end off Term 3...

Here are the videos of the groups performing the action poem 'Traffic Light Poem' on the last day of term 3. Congratulations to Blue Crystal Eagle for being the winning group, and I must say that the rest of the groups did well too! I must also mention that despite Biodragon having some difficulties remembering the words to the poem, they persevered and managed to complete the whole poem. The rest of the class were very encouraging too and gave them a hearty round of applause at the end of their performance. This is the kind of class spirit I hope to continue to see in all of you! =)

Happy National Day!

Thanks once again to all parents who turned up and helped in one way or another! I hope all of you enjoyed the mass run! Here are the few pictures that I managed to take:

All about Kindness!

Here are the posters that you boys did, which list out the different acts of kindness you can do at home, in school and in public places:

Do remember to re-visit the Singapore Kindness Movement website at http://www.singaporekindness.org.sg/ to get more ideas on how to spread kindness in the world! The section 'Kindness Resources' within the website is especially useful and interesting - you can read some meaningful quotes here, get ideas on how to be kind to yourself, and also take the Kindness quiz again! Why not get your parents and siblings to take the quiz too and see who gets the higher score? =)

Our Friendship Posters!

To end off the English unit on Friendship, each group came up with their own friendship posters. Here are pictures of you working in your respective groups and the final products of your hard work!

Well done boys! I am glad to see an improvement in the way you work in groups! I hope to continue to see all of you cooperate with one another during group work, and to have less quarrels, arguments and complaints of group mates not playing their parts. =)
